Meryl Streep making cocktails in a bathrobe is a mood

Meryl Streep cemented her legend status when she appeared in a livestream making a cocktail while dressed in a bathrobe.

The Oscar-winning actor was part of a special tribute for composer Stephen Sondheim’s 90th birthday.

Meryl teamed up with Audra McDonald and Christine Baranski for a performance from their individual homes.

Together they sand Sonheim’s song The Ladies Who Lunch which comes from the musical Company.

Meryl appeared in the video wrapped up in a white bathrobe and fixed herself a refreshing alcoholic drink as she sang her part.

At one point she even swigged Scotch straight from the bottle rather than pour it into her glass – very relatable.

With the coronavirus pandemic bringing the world to a stand still, no doubt many (lucky) people can relate to lazing around the house all day enjoying a drink while wearing something comfortable.

The Big Little Lies star of course nailed her performance with both Audra and Christine also showing off their brilliant musical theatre skills as they sang together.

Company was meant to return to Broadway in March to mark its 50th anniversary, but the pandemic has unfortunately put this on hold.

Other celebrities who took part in the Sondheim tribute included Jake Gyllenhaal, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Beanie Feldstein.
