Strictly Come Dancing: Maya Jama breaks silence on joining 2020 series | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

BBC’s Head of Programming, Dan McGolpin, reassured fans the broadcaster was doing “everything it can” to BBC Radio Essex earlier this month.

Dan said: “It wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t have Strictly in the autumn, would it? So, of course, the BBC is doing everything it possibly can.

“I know everyone involved in the production team would absolutely love to have it planned for the autumn so we’ve really all got to keep watching the government advice, thinking about what’s possible.

“If there’s any way of bringing Strictly back this autumn, we absolutely will. That’s definitely our intention, so fingers crossed.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns later this year on BBC One.
