Married At First Sight’s Cathy Evans slams Connie Crayden again

She previously claimed co-star Connie Crayden, 27, was a ‘mean girl’ on the set of Married At First Sight.

And on Friday, Cathy Evans, 26, slammed the marine biology student again, accusing her of being ‘confident and flirtatious’ behind-the-scenes of the show.

‘[Connie] wasn’t as shy as they portrayed her to be,’ Cathy told Mamamia this week.

‘Quite simply, [she was] a lot more loud, confident and flirtatious,’ she added.

The Logistics investigator and freelance makeup artist further revealed that she’d seen Connie mock co-star KC Osborne when it came to her time on the couch.

‘She denies this but I mean let’s roll back the cameras and playback her mic,’ she said.

Meanwhile, Cathy’s former ‘husband’ Josh Pihlak shut down rumours that Connie was a ‘bully’ behind-the-scenes of the social experiment.

Josh, 28, shared a friendly selfie with Connie to Instagram last week.

He wrote in the caption: ‘Always a good time with this one,’ referring to Connie.

The brunette beauty reciprocated the affection and commented on their picture: ‘So much love for you.’

A fan, seemingly ready to stir some drama, wrote in the comments: ‘I heard she’s a bully.’

Josh was quick to defend his friend, writing back: ‘No way, one of the most nicest and genuine person you could meet.’

It comes after Cathy made explosive claims that fan favourite Connie wasn’t the’shy, sweet girl’ the show made her out to be, but actually a ‘mean girl’.

Speaking to Hit90.0’s Lise, Sarah, Dan and Ben earlier this month, Cathy suggested Connie saw the other brides as ‘a threat to her’.

‘They didn’t showcase all of Connie. They showed her to be this shy, sweet girl, when for us girls, she wasn’t really like that,’ Cathy told the radio hosts.

She added: ‘She wasn’t shy. She had a mean girl motive.’

While Cathy didn’t reveal any particular ‘mean girl’ behaviour, she did point out Connie would flirt openly with the other grooms.

‘She was always with the boys and stuff. And she always wanted to stay away from the girls because they were a threat to her.

‘She’d be right in the middle of the boys and there was obvious flirting,’ Cathy recalled.

When asked whether Connie was a ‘pot stirrer’, Cathy agreed ‘100 per cent’.
