Apollo Jackson is charging $100-a-month for fans to learn his magic tricks online – after admitting he’s struggled to make money since The Bachelorette

He previously struggled to make ends meet when work dried up after The Bachelorette.

But Apollo Jackson (real name Jake Spence) has found another way to turn his passion for magic into cash.

The Brisbane-based reality star and aspiring full-time magician is now charing up to $100-per-month for fans to learn his magic tricks.

Hoping to lure the attention of people suffering from coronavirus lockdown boredom, Apollo has launched a program called ‘Magic Squad’ via Patreon – an online platform where creators can charge for subscriptions to their content.

According to Apollo’s Patreon account, fans can select one of two subscription options.

For $10-per-month, users get access to ‘premium and standard magic lessons, online support from Apollo Jackson, voting power for upcoming videos and livestream access.’

Alternatively, fans can splash out on a $100-per-month subscription called ‘The Circle Diamond Membership’, which involves extra magic tutorials, a ‘merchandise kit’ and one-on-one lessons with Apollo.

‘Pretty much all of the tricks on there use everyday objects, which makes things super easy. You’re not racing out to buy bunnies,’ Apollo told The Gold Coast Bulletin this weekend.

Apollo has previously spoken about his financial woes since appearing on Sophie Monk’s season of The Bachelorette in 2017.

Appearing on Australia’s Got Talent last year, the struggling artist said he was so broke his phone had been cut off and he has moved back home with his parents.

‘I’ve been trying to become a full time magician for 12 years, and there’s been so many set backs.

‘After The Bachelorette work really dried up super quickly. I’ve had to do whatever I can to pay the bills.  Security, landscaping, telemarketing, hospitality.’
