Inside Quaden Bayles’ new life as an Instagram influencer: How the nine-year-old beat the school bullies and now has over 500,000 adoring fans

A heartbreaking viral video changed Quaden Bayles’ life forever in February. 

After the nine-year-old’s mother shared footage of him crying that he wanted to die because he was bullied over his dwarfism, the world quickly rallied behind him.

Months later, the Brisbane schoolboy now boasts celebrity friends, half a million Instagram fans, and is living his best life as Australia’s youngest influencer.

As well as posting inspiring anti-bullying messages, Quaden’s Instagram account, which is managed by his family, is also now used to promote products. 

Last week, a smiling Quaden posed in a trendy t-shirt and spruiked the brand.

The Bayles family have also used Quaden’s platform to support small businesses, including a local Vietnamese cafe they often dine at.

According to Instagram Money Calculator, Quaden could make up to $2,600 per sponsored post on Instagram, if he chooses to monetise his account. 

He currently has 536,000 followers and averages almost 7,000 likes per picture, which is more than many leading Australian celebrities manage to get. 

At present, it appears that Quaden is just happy to shout out any businesses he enjoys for free, and is yet to turn his rising profile into a brand.

In March, Australian boxing legend Billy ‘The Kid’ Dib kept his promise to teach bullied schoolboy Quaden how to box.  

After Quaden’s video first went viral, Dib was one of many sports stars and celebrities to come forward to support the schoolboy.

He stuck by his word and has coached the schoolboy through a boxing sequence.

Jessika wrote: ‘He is so full of life and a happy little boy despite everything that has happened to him. All I had to say was keep your head up angel heart.’ 

Celebrities including actor Hugh Jackman and rapper Cardi B have publicly voiced their support for the bullied schoolboy.  

His viral video initially led to thousands of dollars in donations from people wanting to send him to Disneyland – but this was later donated to charity.
