Married At First Sight’s Mikey Pembroke is growing tired of people not believing his claim that he slept with Stacey Hampton.

During an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday, Mikey insisted he was being truthful and that he wasn’t doing it for fame.

The 29-year-old operations manager also revealed the affair had already been exposed before the reunion in a secret MAFS group chat.

‘I was embarrassed about what I had done because it wasn’t the right thing to do,’ he told the Sydney radio hosts. 

‘But what happened is that Aleks [Markovic] had told the girls in a group chat and so people were coming to me, the girls were coming to me, you can ask anyone of the girls how it actually got out.’

Mikey then said that he was tired of having his motives questioned.

‘You ponder the question, why would I do it? I left the competition six weeks ago so people are going, “oh you’re doing it for fame”.

‘Why wouldn’t I just go along like half the other couples and just milk the series and get on with Natasha as a friend if I really wanted to milk it for fame.

‘Two, do the lie detector test. They flew up a cop who’s been a South Australian police officer for 15 years, he’s been over in the FBI,’ he explained.

‘I sat there, I did a lie detector test when I didn’t have to, and I’ve also asked Stacey to do it, who won’t do it, and putting my name out there to prove what happened.

‘Three, most of the cast actually sort of know what happened… I literally don’t know what else I need to do.’

Stacey’s one-night stand with Mikey was exposed at the dinner party.

The aspiring lawyer repeatedly denied the allegations, even after Mikey produced corroborative text messages that proved they’d spent the night together.

Aleks Markovic and Ivan Sarakula also claimed Mikey’s clothes had been dropped off at their apartment in a Mecca Cosmetics bag after the alleged incident. 

The reunion was filmed in mid-January and, more than two months later, Stacey continues to deny she ever slept with Mikey.
