‘It’s the best’: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle caught gushing over California during a royal visit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been caught gushing over how much trhey love California in unearthed footage from a royal visit last year.

The Duke, 35, and Duchess of Sussex, 38, visited the Empire Fighting Chance club in Bristol in February last year, where they were filmed speaking with a local who said he had been born in the state.

As he called it ‘the best’, Prince Harry and Meghan could be seen grinning and nodding in agreement, with the Duke adding: ‘It is the best.’

The unearthed footage was filmed a year before the Duke and Duchess relocated to California where they have reportedly rented a $20 million mansion in Malibu, after stepping back from life as working members of the royal family.

In the video, which was shared by fan account @_duchess_of_sussex online, the couple can be seen chatting with a local while visiting the boxing club in Bristol.

After Prince Harry noticed the man had an accent, he revealed that he was born in America and that his mother was an American.

A delighted Meghan could be heard asking: ‘Where is she from again?’ 

The man goes on to reveal his mother is from California, with Meghan beaming as she says: ‘Nice.’

And after the local added: ‘That’s the best one’, Meghan and Prince Harry could be seen nodding and grinning as Harry responded: ‘It’s the best.’ 

It was reported last week that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had left the $10million bolthole on Vancouver Island, Canada, where they had been living since quitting the UK in January to relocate to the US before travel restrictions between the two countries were put in place. 

The Sussexes want to be close to ‘their new team of Hollywood agents and PRs’ as well as Meghan’s friends and mother Doria, a source told The Sun. 

They are now believed to be in lockdown in the Hollywood area with ten-month-old baby Archie.

While it is not known where the couple will eventually choose to settle, there have been reports the pair might choose Malibu.

The couple are said to have viewed a $20million mansion in the star-studded area as they look to set up a permanent home in the US following Megxit. 

The huge eight bedroom, 10 bathroom property, called Petra Manor, costs a hefty $15,950 a night, but sources told DailyMailTV the couple is keen to sample Malibu before laying down any long term roots.

Malibu has one of the most expensive ZIP codes in the country and boasts a stunning coastline, should Harry and Meghan have got used to being by the water in Canadar 

While it’s more than 50km from central LA, it’s a quiet, secluded place ideal for nature-loving celebrities looking for privacy. 

From March 31, Meghan and Prince Harry were no longer be working royals nor use their HRH styles.

The couple have now wound down their UK foundation and shut their Buckingham Palace office.

The duo are now living in California, having carried out their final round of royal duties in Britain, and are planning the launch of their new non-profit organisation for next month.

The Sussexes are yet to flesh out what their new entity will look like, other than outlining it will support their ‘global charitable, campaign and philanthropic work’.
