In 2011, the mother of three founded the Honest Company, which sells a variety of household products advertised as being sustainable and free of harsh chemicals.

During a 2018 interview with InStyle she shared that ‘I feel like my purpose in life was to create Honest, and everything led me to that.’

Her company launched a recurring subscription service for diapers, which came under fire in late 2016 after multiple customers complained that they were signed up for the service without realizing it.

Others took issue with the diaper subscriptions because they could be purchased online but could only be canceled over the phone, which often required lengthy periods of time on hold.
