Married At First Sight producers’ tricks are EXPOSED at the dinner party

Married At First Sight producers’ tricks are EXPOSED as Cathy Evans is shown at the dinner party before her ‘arrival’

Married At First Sight fans were left baffled by another editing fail on Wednesday.

In a split-second continuity error, Cathy Evans was visible at the dinner party several minutes before her dramatic ‘arrival’.

The gaffe happened when the experts were observing Connie Crayden and Aleks Markovic sitting together on the sofa.

Another woman in a shimmering blue and gold mini dress joined them on the couch.

In a later scene, Cathy was shown wearing the same distinctive dress while sitting alone in the car on her way to the dinner party.

Upon her arrival, the logistics investigator greeted the other brides – despite the fact she’d already been shown sitting with them.

This blunder suggests the editors spliced together reaction footage to serve a narrative, even though it didn’t match the actual chronology of events.

It comes after the show’s post-production team was seemingly unable to recognise the difference between Adelaide and the Gold Coast during Elizabeth Sobinoff’s visit to Seb Guilhaus’ home town on Wednesday.

Scenic shots of Surfers Paradise appeared on screen to introduce Elizabeth to Seb’s hometown date in the South Australian capital.

There was a shot of the Gold Coast skyline, followed by footage of beachgoers walking past the famous Surfers Paradise sign on the Esplanade.

Despite this, the text on screen read: ‘Elizabeth and Seb. Adelaide, SA.’

The show then cut to Elizabeth and Seb’s date at Ice ArenA in Thebarton, an inner-western suburb of Adelaide, where the couple spent the afternoon ice skating.
