Snoop Dogg insists his music event Lovers & Friends won’t be another Fyre festival


Lil’ Kim has announced that her “check has cleared” after being asked to play Snoop Dogg’s music festival, allaying fears it could have been another disaster similar to the fraudulent Fyre.

Shortly after Goldenvoice announced Lovers & Friends Festival, artists featured on the poster, including Lil’ Kim and Ma$e, denied having anything to do with the event, alarming ticket buyers.

“This is SO FAKE! I am not a part of this,” Lil’ Kim told her followers on Instagram.

Rapper Twista claimed he was yet to receive payment for his involvement, which is exactly what several acts who were set to play Fyre festival complained about ahead of Ja Rule’s doomed event, which made headlines in 2017.

Snoop Dogg, who is one of the event’s promoters, stepped in to assure his fans that the festival was completely legitimate and personally asked Lil’ Kim to attend the event in California.
