Kate Upton shares an adorable photo with her husband Justin Verlander and their toddler

Kate Upton shared a rare family photo with her husband Justin Verlander and their two-year-old daughter Genevieve, while reflecting on her recent social media break. 

After taking a month off from posting on Instagram, the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit star, 28, returned with an enviable vacation picture on Tuesday afternoon. 

In the snap, she looked absolutely radiant in a stylish yellow and white minidress as she hugged her little girl, who was being cradled by the Houston Astros pitcher, 37. 

As the family-of-three stood in front of a pool at sunset under a dozen palm trees,  Verlander planted a sweet kiss on their toddler’s head.   

‘Happy New Year! During 2020 I took a break from social media to focus on health, family and reduced screen time (hello social dilemma!)’ she captioned her photo, which showcased her gym-honed legs and stylish sandals with wooden block heels.

She continued: ‘We made the most of our time at home as a family by spending true, quality time together… we took a few safe, socially distanced trips and also I was able to refocus on passions like horseback riding!’ 

The beauty, who has appeared on the covers of Vogue Italia, Cosmopolitan and GQ, also teased she was feeling ‘recharged and ready to share some exciting projects in the works.’ 

Additionally, the supermodel stressed she and Verlander ‘are still taking the gravity of COVID extremely seriously during these recent spikes and scares,’ but wanted to take a moment to reconnect with her more than 6.1 million followers. 

Less than 24 hours later on Wednesday, she remerged on her account with another stunning shot of herself pulling a wagon with her little girl and two nieces. 

‘Been doing a different kind of sleds lately…,’ she joked as she looked back at the camera and smiled. 

When asked by a follower why she felt comfortable releasing a photo of her niece’s face, but not her own daughter’s, her sister Christie jumped to defended Kate’s choice. 

‘What she posts with her daughter on social media is her decision, because she’s the parent. What ANYone posts of anyone else’s kid on social media is that parents’ decision. In this case, I’m the parent. I say/said it’s okay,’ Christie wrote in the comment section.  

Since giving birth to her baby girl in November 2018, Kate typically covers little Genevieve’s face with an emoji or pictures her from behind for privacy reasons.  

In October, she posted darling shots with her mini-me as they hiked in the Antelope Canyon in Arizona. 

‘Adventure time with my girl,’ said the cover model as she had her tot secured to her back as she walked through the canyon.
