Cardi B uses a racial slur to describe her sister Hennessy Carolina’s eyes

Cardi B uses a racial slur to describe her sister Hennessy Carolina’s eyes and claims she didn’t know it was offensive: ‘I didn’t use it as a insult’

Cardi B found herself in some hot water on Saturday, after fans called her out on Twitter for casually using a racial slur to describe her sister’s facial features.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker, 27, had posted a composite photo of her and husband Offset’s faces to her Instagram earlier in the day, while she continued to mark their daughter Kulture’s second birthday.

But when a fan commented saying how similar the composite looked to Cardi‘s younger sister Hennessy, 24, Cardi replied, ‘I think cause Hennessy got ch*nky eyes like Offset and so KK. It’s the only think I could think off [sic].’

It was then that Cardi got called out on Twitter, when a user posted a screengrab of the Instagram comment with the simple caption, ‘I–… Cardi wtf’

The I Like It rapper then retweeted that tweet and included a comment of her own: ‘I didn’t know that ch*nky eyes was a slur like wtfff I DONT KNOW F**KIN EVERYTHING!!

‘We don’t even use that as a insult and I didn’t use it as a insult,’ she continued. ‘Im sick of the internet.’

By way of apology, Cardi wrote: 'I didn’t know that ch*nky eyes was a slur like wtfff I DONT KNOW F**KIN EVERYTHING!! We don’t even use that as a insult and I didn’t use it as a insult. Im sick of the internet'

It was the star’s way of doing some damage control after making the troublesome comment, in which she was trying to describe her sister’s features as well as that of her own daughter Kulture.

The comments, as well as the composite Instagram photo post itself, have since been deleted.

Cardi had captioned the composite, ‘Sooo this how KK finna look? I love it.’

DailyMail.com has reached out to Cardi’s team for comment on the gaffe, and is waiting to hear back.

The post comes after Cardi and her husband Offset, 28, welcomed a multitude of friends to celebrated Kulture’s second birthday on Friday night, in an all-out bash that saw no expense spared.
