The Killers’ lead singer Brandon Flowers said he’ll be going surgery to repair a torn labrum in a mountain biking accident.
The vocalist, 39, made the reveal Friday in a Q&A session on Instagram Live alongside the band’s drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr., as he looks to rebound from an injury ‘that has manifested itself’ in the wake of the incident.
‘Some of you may have seen the picture I posted and some footage when I went over the handlebars on my bike and an injury from that has manifested itself,’ the Henderson, Nevada native said in the social media stream.

Flowers said he will have his arm in sling for nearly two months in his recovery.
The When You Were Young singer noted that he’s had decompression surgery on his ‘bad shoulders’ in the past.
It was not immediately clear which specific incident Flowers was talking about, though the Mr. Brightside artist alluded to an apparent mountain biking incident more than three years ago, as he shared a shot to social media showing facial injuries.

Flowers said in the September 2017 post: ‘When [mountain] biking down hill, don’t squeeze left brake.’
The band is currently scheduled to play in May and June on a tour of the U.K., but said ‘it’s not looking great’ amid the ongoing pandemic.
