Stevie Nicks says Harry Styles’ album Fine Line is inspiring her to write new songs while isolation…and says the album is his Rumors
Stevie Nicks has become close with Harry Styles over the years and he even provided her induction into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame last year.
And the music legend shared that not only is the Adore Your crooner a friend but he is also providing her inspiration while she is in isolation during the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The 71-year-old posted a note to Twitter on Monday, in which she shared how she is getting through the difficult period and some advice for fans.

While held up at home with family and close friends, she wrote ‘I am getting all my paintings and drawings out — listening to music (mostly Harry Styles’ Fine Line) and being inspired by him to write some new songs and poetry. Way to go H — it is your Rumours.’
Comparing Fine Line to Rumours is quite the compliment from Nicks, as Fleetwood Mac album, released in 1977, had hits such as Go Your Own Way and Dreams and has been lauded as the band’s best album.
Rumours was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2003, was named to TIME’s All-Time 100 Albums list in 2006 and most recently was selected for preservation in the Library of Congress in 2018 by the National Recording Registry.
Styles’ sophomore album debuted at number one on the Billboard album chart at the end of 2019 and held the spot into 2020, being the last number one album of the 2010s and the first of the 2020s.

The former One Direction star is expected to tour his album worldwide later this year and recently added more tour dates, assuming the coronavirus pandemic has slowed and the bans on large gatherings are lifted.
Nicks also attempted to comfort fans in her letter saying ‘Dear everyone, I know you are doing everything you can to help the situation we are all in…My advice for all of this free time and terrible news is just dance, this will pass, love will find a way, it always does.’
The Fleetwood Mac star shared that she is hunkered down at home surrounded by some family and a close friend and, of course, some furry companions.
Adding: ‘I am staying in with my Goddaughters and my assistant Karen, and all our dogs, Lily, Luna and Mana, trying to think of creative things to do.’

And her last album was 2014’s 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault. She ended the note saying ‘P.S. I’ll be in touch,’ possibly hinting at new music coming soon.

As of her solo 2019 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she is the only woman to be inducted twice after joining in 1998 with Fleetwood Mac.
