An injured man has been rescued from an empty water tank after twisting his knee while working inside, snapping selfies on his way out of the barrel. 

Ambulance services were called to Dampier place in Prestons at about 9am on July 23 after receiving a call suggesting a man in his 30s was trapped and injured.

Fire rescue services were brought in to lift the man out safely, and he took the opportunity to take some humorous snaps while being hoisted out of the tank.
