Scots wrestler and fellow breakfast show host Grado joked: ‘The bigger story was that he left me in here flapping at the thought of having to run this radio show myself, he still hasn’t shown me how to use the buttons!’

Grant Bell, of Clyde Valley Family Park, told the public not to approach the wallaby.

He said: ‘They’re harmless, they are about the size of a small dog.

‘If anyone can close their garden gates behind it and call us, we can come up with the rescue net.’

Wallabies are members of the kangaroo family and can reach up to six feet in height.

Scotland has feral wallabies including a group who live in Inchconnahan, Loch Lomond.

They were introduced to the area in 1940 by Lady Arran.
