Martha Kalifatidis’ mother Mary has revealed the cheeky way she handled nerves while filming scenes for Married At First Sight.
Mary, who appeared on the show in season six, admitted a cheeky tipple of red wine helped allay her fears about appearing on the Channel Nine dating hit.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Mary, 55, joked about the little secret.

‘When filming MAFS I was so nervous, I was putting red wine in my coffee cup,’ Mary said, sharing a short clip of herself.
‘Who would think I would end up on Big Brother,’ she added.
Since starring on the show, Mary has gained a legion of fans thanks to her lovable antics, which led to a role on this year’s Big Brother.

In June, Mary became one of the latest reality stars to undergo a dramatic dental transformation.
The mother-of-three, 55, underwent $48,000 worth of dental work – and the results are very impressive indeed.

‘There are many types of smiles we give and share, but it is my new cheesy smile that has given me so much more confidence,’ she added.
