Awkward detail in her kitchen organisation photo sparks debate

Mum is forced to defend herself after critics notice an awkward detail in her ‘perfect’ kitchen organisation photos

  • A mum has  been slammed for her ‘promotional’ organisation inspiration photo
  • The mum posted a picture of her sink area as inspiration to other women
  • She hit back at critics and said she is not sponsored by the cleaning company

An organised mum has been forced to defend herself online after people accused her of ‘blatant advertising’ in a recent cleaning inspiration post.

The Australian mum posted pictures of her organised sink area which was stocked full of Koala cleaning products but critics quickly accused her of posting a ‘promotion’.

The mum denied the accusation and wasted no time in hitting back at the keyboard warriors, slamming them for their open criticism and promptly deleting as many of the negative comments as possible.

‘A bit sad I have to add this, but this isn’t a promotion. I just really love their products and what they stand for. I don’t have a ‘discount code’ or make any money,’ she wrote.

‘Totally silly. I have a house full of Kmart stuff but when I share that nobody says I’m trying to promote Kmart. Please remember to be kind and if you don’t like these photos, scroll on.’

The initial post included a picture of the woman’s ‘messy sink’ to show how her home looks ‘most of the time.

But others weren't so sure as the bottles featured heavily in each picture and even appeared styled so the labels were in full view of the camera

‘Just remember guys, a picture is a second in time and not everything is always spotless. We are real people too and have messes,’ she said.

Others said they didn’t care if the pictures were part of a promotion or not – they were still inspired by the beautifully organised areas.

‘Awesome, what a great set up. you’ve inspired me to reorganise under my sink. I have one of those expandable shelves, but the bottles always fall off the top shelf into the back of the cupboard.’ one mum wrote.

‘I don’t care if you are making money by sharing, you have made me want to organise my under sink area too,’ another added.

Some trashed her response and said she was known for promotions.

‘I see you give discounts for certain products you showcase on your Instagram and that’s where a lot of us get frustrated as the links are put to get us over there,’ one woman said.

‘And all these pictures have already been shown in this group many times. But nice to see a real picture of before this time,’ she added.

The pictures show the Koala products neatly presented on top of and below the woman’s sink.

She also uses a clear plastic container for all of her Chux clothes.

Others were left impressed by the Scrub Daddy which seemed to stick on the sink on its own.

‘Oh it is held up by my Scrub Daddy Caddy,’ the original poster added.
