Ingham filed documents with the court on Tuesday stating, ‘Samuel D. Ingham III hereby resigns as court-appointed counsel for Britney Jean Spears, conservatee, effective upon the appointment of new court-appointed counsel.’

Rudolph announced his resignation as her manager on Monday, after serving as her manager for the past 25 years.

The statement he released revealed that his resignation stemmed from Spears’ intentions to officially, ‘retire’ from performing.

‘It has been over 2 1/2 years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus,’ Rudolph said in a letter to co-conservators Jamie Spears and the court-appointed Jodi Montgomery.

‘Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire,’ he added.

‘As her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed,’ Rudolph continued.

While Ingham and Rudolph are stepping down, Montgomery indicated on Tuesday that she still intends to handle Spears’ medical records and personal affairs.

The singer’s father, Jamie Spears, will remain in charge of her finances, though financial firm Bessemer Trust asked last week to step down, leaving Jamie solely in charge of her finances.
