Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon has put her media company Hello Sunshine on the block.

It is understood Apple is interested, while streaming giant Netflix is also circling. The company could fetch $1billion.

The Oscar-winning actress already has a relationship with Apple TV having worked with the tech giant on her hit drama The Morning Show, with Jennifer Aniston.

Hello Sunshine is owned by Witherspoon and her business partners, Seth Rodsky and Jim Toth, who is Witherspoon’s husband.

Telecommunications giant AT&T also has a stake. The company does not publicly disclose its finances although Time magazine reported the firm is expected to be profitable for the first time this year.

A sale would be a milestone in Witherspoon’s 30-year career, which has included major roles in films including Wild and Election.

She won an Oscar in 2006 for her performance as June Carter in Walk the Line, the biopic of country music legend Johnny Cash.
