Eamonn Holmes walks with crutches while out for dinner with Lizzie Cundy

He was diagnosed with a dislocated pelvis and three slipped discs in March. 

And Eamonn Holmes stepped out with the aid of a crutch when he arrived for dinner with Lizzie Cundy at The Arts Club in Mayfair on Tuesday.

The TV presenter, 61, seemed to be in good spirits despite his health woes as he made his way to the venue while using one crutch.

Eamonn looked sharp in a light blue blazer and suit trousers that he paired with a crisp white shirt. 

He opted for comfy footwear amid is injury and stepped out in black plimsole shoes, completing his look with a white pocketsquare.

Lizzie, meanwhile, looked effortlessly chic in a blue asymmetrical summer dress that was adorned with white flowers.

Her ensemble had cut-out panels on the sides to highlight her slender frame and she tied it at the front with a chic bow, while she stepped out in furry heels.

It comes after Eamonn detailed his road to recovery to his followers on Friday amid his health battle, after previously revealing he was suffering ‘chronic pain’. 

The TV presenter said his agonising slipped disc recovery is like ‘learning to walk again’, as he continues to depend on crutches in order to walk.

The star who has recently been dependent on the walking aids, is now focusing on his rehab and decided to give his fans a glimpse of his recovery on Twitter.

Eamonn shockingly revealed he’s lost nerves in his right leg due to the injury.

Dressed in all black work out attire Eamonn said: ‘OK I’m still crutch dependent and the idea is to get rid of this and the man that’s going to get rid of this for me is this man James Davis!’

James Davis, who is the presenters physiotherapist, said he has been ‘treating Eamonn for a couple of weeks’, and ‘he is now at the rehab stage’ of his recovery. 

The Northern Irish star said: ‘This all looks very simple and it is very simple except it’s like learning to walk again.’

‘I’ve lost nerves in my right leg and there’s certain actions I can’t do so even the most simple thing is hard but it’s getting better.’

The video showed Eamonn working out in his back garden, trying several exercises to strength and stabilise his pelvis as well as the muscles around his lumbar spine.  

The clip also shows the This Morning host lying on a treatment table and getting a massage. 

‘The whole recuperation path there’s so many aspects to it. James is the boss man and you know, he has me here on the treatment table. Some of it is quite pleasant.

‘Not a lot if it but I know he’s doing a good job and do you think we’re making progress? Lots! That shows you how bad I was in the first place.

But the treatment table and his magic hands very, very important.’

At the end of the short video, Eamonn was seen in pressure socks, which promotes circulation to feed nerve endings in his legs.

‘Then to round the day or the session off I put on my socks!’ he shared. ‘These are pressure socks, don’t worry I’m perfectly safe in them.

‘These are used by a lot of elite athletes to help the healing process… In the meantime, it is so comfortable I think I’ll just do 45 minutes and maybe doze off.’

Last month Eamonn shared how circulation boosters have helped him ‘get back out there’ doing daily activities.

According to The Sun, Eamonn said of the treatment: ‘I had a bit of difficulty with waking before and after a double hip operation.’

As well as using the circulation booster, Eamonn has helped alleviate his pain with physiotherapy and ice cold showers, which have left him feeling ‘invigorated’ amid his health woes.
