  • He walked into Lyell McEwin Hospital and was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital 


A man is fighting for his life after staggering into a hospital with a gunshot wound to his face.

The 27-year-old presented himself to Lyell McEwin Hospital at Elizabeth Vale, in Adelaide’s north, before 7pm on Saturday.

He was then rushed to Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition to be treated for his ‘life-threatening’ injuries.

They are still looking for the gunman and believe it was a targeted shooting. 

‘The investigation is in its early stages but this is not thought to be a random incident,’ police said.
