‘He’s a top lad who asked my permission!’ Eamonn Holmes shares a rare snap with daughter Rebecca and her fiancé Mark as they celebrate engagement
Eamonn Holmes revealed the happy news on Thursday that his daughter Rebecca Holmes is engaged to boyfriend Mark.
The TV presenter, 61, shared a photo to Instagram of the trio as they celebrated the occasion over a casual family gathering at what appeared to be a local pub.
In the heartfelt caption, Eamonn said Mark is a ‘top lad’ who he welcomes into the family ‘with open arms’.

Rebecca sat on her father’s lap in the photo, as a beaming Mark stood behind them.
‘Wonderful casual family gathering tonight to celebrate my daughter Rebecca’s engagement to her now-fiancé Mark. They are very happy as is our whole circle,’ Eamonn began the caption.
‘Mark popped the question on Rebecca’s birthday last week after asking me for my permission. He’s a top lad who we welcome into our family with open arms.’

On Sunday, Eamonn marked Father’s Day by sharing a touching message for his four children on Instagram.

Alongside a black and white photo of Eamonn with his children, he wrote: ‘This is my Four. Niall, Jack, Rebecca and Declan. Proud to have them as my children and I can only hope I make them proud to have me as their Dad.’
The doting dad’s followers were quick to wish him well on the happy occasion, not least, his wife Ruth, 61.
Ruth wrote online: ‘Happy Father’s Day Daddy Holmes,’ adding a red heart emoji.
Eamonn is also set to become a grandfather for the first time, having recently revealed on This Morning that son Declan and his wife Jenny are expecting a baby.
