Rodger Corser’s hilarious response to his wife’s beautiful tribute to the finale of his popular show Doctor Doctor
Doctor Doctor has finally reached its climatic end, and the finale on Wednesday night prompted a heartfelt response from fans.
One of them was Renae Berry – wife of leading star, Rodger Corser, 48 – who gave a touching tribute to the show on her Instagram, before Rodger amusingly responded.
‘Feeling melancholy as I settle in to watch the finale of Doctor Doctor,’ Renae began as she shared a photo of her husband and their three kids watching a sunset in Mudgee (where the series is filmed).

‘Each job over the years marks another chapter in our lives,’ she continued.
Renae reflected on how since becoming a mother the ‘years’ have been measured by her husband’s shows, adding what a ‘special time’ Doctor Doctor was for the family.
‘Dusty (their son) a baby when you started and some wonderful family holidays visiting you at work,’ she reminisced.
She then referred to the scenic picture as their ‘last trip to picturesque Mudgee.’

Renae ended the caption with, ‘Congrats our Doctor and all the incredible team on a truly successful and wonderful 5 seasons!’
The heartfelt tribute was suddenly cut short when husband Rodger broke the ice.
‘You never watched the show…in fact you thought @ryanjohnsonofoz was the lead!’ he joked in response.

Channel Nine confirmed earlier this month that the drama series would wrap up at the end of its fifth (and current) season.
The successful home grown show had Rodger playing Dr Hugh Knight, a charming heart surgeon who is forced to work in his former home town of Whyhope.
Rodger reflected on the inevitable end as the news was announced, tweeting at the time, ‘Goodbye Whyhope…what a bloody great journey it’s been.’
