She is expecting her first child with fiancé Ben Bhanvra in a few weeks.

And heavily pregnant EastEnders star, Louisa Lytton, flashed a look at her baby bump on Wednesday as she detailed how she manages to hide her growing stomach on set. 

The actress who plays Ruby Allen, 32, proved that by wearing baggy clothes, she and the costume department are able to conceal her tummy from suspecting viewers for new scenes.

Louisa was seen wearing a tiered smock dress in a mint green hue which contrasted against her sun-kissed complexion and featured a V-neckline. 

The tumbling layered fabric artfully camouflaged Louisa’s baby bump until she lifted it up to reveal her bare stomach. 

She gave a surprised expression in the mirror selfie clip, which she shared on Instagram, and penned: ‘The covering bump saga continues’. 

Louisa revealed earlier his month that she struggled both mentally and physically during the early stages of pregnancy.

The EastEnders star told The Mirror: ‘The first 12 weeks were tricky. It was a whirlwind of worry, panic and sickness. ‘

She continued: ‘I was sick in the morning and nauseous all day. The only thing that would stop me feeling sick was eating!’  

Louisa also spoke out about her decision to cancel her wedding to fiancé Ben, citing the pandemic and her pregnancy as a factor. 

She explained: ‘We’d already postponed it twice by then and I didn’t want to put off having children any longer.

‘I’ve always wanted to get married first before having children for tradition, but sometimes things are taken out of your hands.’ 

Speaking to OK! Magazine in May, Louisa told how the pair had already been forced to cancel the ceremony twice thanks to the pandemic so now they are waiting until they are ‘ready’.

She said: ‘We’ve cancelled the wedding altogether now. We’ve decided to scrap the whole thing and start again with our plans.

‘We’re going to have the baby and focus on that and then get married once we’re ready. 

‘We’d already postponed it twice and the wedding we were going to have is massive – we had nearly 200 people.’

Louisa added that the last year has ‘put everything into perspective’, adding that there are bigger things going on in the world.

The actress said Ben is ‘really chilled’ about becoming a father although he was shocked when she first told him she was pregnant.

Louisa was grateful that her fiancé was able to join her at both her 12 and 20 week scans and said she is praying that both Ben and her mother will be allowed in the delivery room with her when the baby is born. 

She revealed her co-stars Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater, and James Bye, who plays Martin Fowler, were the first people on the EastEnders set she told she was set to become a mother.

Lacey is a mother-of-two and has already given Louisa some advice on becoming a mum with the actress saying Lacey has ‘really helped me’.
