Kita Mean has been announced as the first winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.

The New Zealand drag queen pocketed a whopping $30,000 cash prize and makeup supplies during Saturday night’s finale.

Kita Mean, 36, whose real name is Nick Nash, took out the finale, alongside Aussies Art Simone, Karen from Finance and Scarlet Adams.

‘You’re a winner, baby,’ declared American drag queen sensation RuPaul on the night.

Kita responded by putting her head in her hands before a victorious clap and fist pump.

The final episode saw video appearances by Olivia Newton-John and her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, who inspired a rendition of Physical.

She was one of 10 drag queens to compete in the Australasian version of the popular competition.

Meanwhile, fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the cast can see them on tour.

The drag queens will be touring Australia and New Zealand from September 18, playing shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Canberra.

They will then play shows in Auckland before concluding the tour in Wellington.

Stan is yet to announce a second season.
