EXCLUSIVE: Celebrity Apprentice star Wippa reveals how much time contestants REALLY spend with their boss Lord Alan Sugar on the show

He was recently fired by Lord Alan Sugar on Celebrity Apprentice Australia, just one task before the show’s grand finale.

But Nova radio presenter Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli has no hard feeling towards the British business tycoon, admitting that he hardly knows him.

‘We don’t actually get to spend a lot of time with Lord Sugar,’ he told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday.

Celebrity Apprentice’s Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli has revealed how much time contestants really spend with boss Lord Alan Sugar while filming the Channel 9 reality show

Wippa, 41, explained that despite working for the billionaire, the only time contestants actually got to spend time with him was after each of the tasks.

‘It would have been nice to (spend more time) because he is a good guy, the interaction I did have with him, he said.

‘In our assurance he might be the guy you might see on the show, but he’s also a good bloke playing a role and he has been in that show for 15 years in the UK.

‘He knows how it works.’

It comes as radio presenter denied claims from fans that Celebrity Apprentice Australia is ‘rigged’.

‘It would be very hard,’ to manipulate the results, he told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

‘[CEO] Lord Sugar’s in there making that call based on how he sees it, that’s his call [as to who is fired].’

As to suggestions that executives may put their thumb on the scales to influence the results, Wippa claimed it wouldn’t be possible given Sugar’s final say.

‘He makes that decision. I do know that,’ he said.

While Martha has now been eliminated from the show, viewers were outraged after she was saved during Sunday’s episode despite ‘cheating’ in a challenge.

During the episode, her boyfriend Michael Brunelli spent more than $950 on his girlfriend’s ice cream, boosting her sales considerably.

When confronted by Lord Sugar in the boardroom, Martha tried to deny it.
