In Da Bungalow was a huge hit with young viewers in the 00s, winning two BAFTAS and sparking a craze for shouting ‘bogies’ in shops and other public places.

It ran from on CBBC from 2002 to 2006 and saw contestants, known as Bungalow Heads, try to win points so they could claim prizes.

Reflecting on the saying, Richard proudly explained that people still shout ‘bogies’ and him and Dominic now and they often find parents who watched their show are encouraging their own children to do it.

He said: ‘I think we are on the third generation… The kids that have grown up with in Da Bungalow are between 25 and 35, so they’ve had kids and are teaching their kids Bogies.

‘I’ll be in the supermarket and you can see them egg their kids on to shout bogies.’

In a recent interview with Cherwell, the pair emphasised that they do not mind being remembered for ‘bogies’.

Asked if they feel ‘disappointed’ for the link, Dom said: ‘No, not at all. We’re incredibly proud of it. I want to know what it feels like again.

‘Working on In Da Bungalow was this complete synergy of a group of people moving forward together. It was like an army. Everyone was in sync with each other.’
