Samantha Armytage reveals her plans to return to TV following her shock resignation from Sunrise


Samantha Armytage resigned from her hosting gig on Sunrise in March. 

And on the latest installment of her podcast, Something To Talk About, she’s revealed her plans to return to TV during a conversation with Kyle Sandilands.

The radio shock jock boasted that he would never retire and that he was so committed to his radio career that would ‘take his last breath on-air’.

The former TV presenter said: ‘I’m semi-retired,’ before adding, ‘But I’ll go again, I’m just having a break.’   

Sam then hinted that she would make her return to TV ‘one of these days’. 

‘You will, I know you’ll be back on TV. What are you going to do? Today show?’ Kyle suggested, as Sam laughed.

He then asked: ‘Have you got any plans? Have you got a desire?’

The blonde beauty said: ‘I haven’t got a desire, I’ve actually got no desire at the moment.’

‘I’m going to have as good break and, I don’t know, one of these days, next year,’ she added.

Kyle then suggested the return of a midday show, saying: ‘Forget about the rubbish American ones, they’re boring… It would be nice to do something in the middle of the day.’

Samantha married her husband Richard Lavender in an intimate ceremony in the Southern Highlands on New Year’s Eve.

In March, she tearfully announced that she had resigned as host of Sunrise.

She said: ‘I want to step out of this public world for a while and take some time and calm things down, enjoy a bit of slow living, and spend some time with my precious family, my husband and [dog] Banjo.’
