Floyd Mayweather Jr., the retired boxing champion is returning to the ring this evening in a ‘super exhibition’ against social media sensation YouTuber Logan Paul.

The fight is to be screened on Showtime or Fanmio, with general tickets available for $49.99.

Professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and YouTube star Logan Paul face off at 8pm

Undefeated, 12-time, five division boxing superstar Mayweather at 50-0 will take on Paul in an event which had originally scheduled for February but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

‘This whole thing is surreal. Everything about it. I told my manager and we kind of had an inside joke that until I get in the ring with him, I didn’t think this fight was happening,’ Paul said in a press release. ‘But I think it’s safe to say that I can believe it now. I think it’s happening. It’s fight week. I can’t imagine Floyd would back out now, but who knows? Old man fakes an injury. Gets scared of the big kid. I’m excited.’

The exhibition-nature of the fight means Mayweather’s impeccable record in the ring will not be tarnished should he lose the contest, while Paul’s history of 0-1 will remain the same even if he wins.

Mayweather is rumored to be earning in the region of $100million from the fight and has described it as a ‘legal bank robbery’ with many expecting the boxing legend to make light work of Paul.

However, Paul has revealed Sunday’s Miami showdown is far more than an exhibition – and insisted that Mayweather will not have ‘a s*** easy fight’.

Jake and Mayweather were involved in a brawl during the build-up to the Mayweather v Logan Paul fight, when Jake stole the 44-year-old’s hat before a scuffle erupted.

Paul’s only previous professional fight is a defeat to fellow YouTuber KSI back in November 2019, which he lost a split decision in Los Angeles.

Mayweather is considered one of boxing’s all-time greats and announced in 2019 he was ‘coming out of retirement in 2020.’

He also said he was interested in facing Paul’s brother, Jake Paul, in a future date.

‘If Jake Paul can get past his next opponent Ben Askren, I will have an exhibition with him as well.’.

In April, Paul defeated former MMA fighter Ben Askren with a first-round Technical Knock Out.
