Urgent search for missing 16-year-old boy last seen leaving school as police release images of his distinctive hat

  • Owen Fisher, 16, was last seen leaving a Wollongong school on Wednesday
  • Police and his family are concerned as his disappearance is out of character

A desperate search is underway for a missing teenage boy who was last seen leaving school as police release images of the hat he is believed to be wearing. 

Owen Fisher, 16, was last seen leaving a school on Gipps Street, Wollongong, at 3.30pm on Wednesday.

His family reported him missing at 6.40pm that evening after he failed to return to his Kieraville home and a police investigation was launched. 

Police and family are concerned for Owen’s welfare as he has a medical condition, and his disappearance is out of character.

Owen is described as being of Asian appearance, about 180cm tall, of thin build with short black hair.

He was last seen wearing his school uniform; a white shirt and grey pants, with black rectangular glasses.

Owen is believed to be wearing a grey and black peaked hat.
