- They were pulled from shelves ‘due to the potential presence of rubber’
- The product has been sold at IGA in every state and territory except for WA
- Consumers have been advised not to eat the product and return it for a refund
Tubs of chocolate flavoured ice cream have been recalled after a batch was found to contain ‘foreign matter’ such as rubber.
Community Co Cookies & Cream Ice Cream 1L tubs were pulled from shelves on Thursday.
‘The recall is due to the potential presence of foreign matter (rubber),’ Food Standards wrote on their website.

‘Food products containing rubber may cause illness/injury if consumed.’
The product has been sold at Independent grocery stores including IGA in every state and territory except for WA.
The affected batch of ice cream has a best before date of March 9, 2023.
Consumers have been advised not to eat the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
