Singlet-wearing larrikin drives his forklift into a Hungry Jacks drive-thru to pick up a meal

  • The forklift driver could be seen waiting patiently between cars at the drive-thru
  • The caption for the Tik Tok video read:  ‘You only see this s**t in Australia’
  • Social media users congratulated the drive on his alternative forklift use

A singlet-wearing larrikin drove a forklift through a Hungry Jack’s drive-through – and managed to pick up his meal.

The bizarre scene was filmed in Melbourne’s western suburbs and uploaded to Tik Tok on Tuesday, set to the song ‘National Anthem of Straya’ by Terry Mann.

Donning a black wife-beater, the driver could be seen waiting patiently to pick up his food in front of a white Subaru.

‘Dude in a forklift at Hungry Jack’s drive-thru,’ the caption read. ‘You only see this s**t in Australia.’

Drive throughs will generally not serve customers who walk in, even if the rest of the outlet is closed, leading to those without cars resorting to extreme measures.

Viewers flocked to the comments section to congratulate the driver on his creative use of a forklift.

‘Well you’re not allowed to walk-thru,’ one viewer wrote.

‘Might get me a forklift. I’m going to do this,’ added another.

Another wrote: ‘Street registered he can drive where he wants.’

Australians are allowed to drive a forklift on the road, as long as it is registered with a number plate.

The man had an LPG gas cylinder attached in case the machine ran out of fuel

International users pitched in and said they had seen people driving tractors and army vehicles through fast food joints in their home countries.

But one user pointed out: ‘Hungry Jack’s is only in Australia so yes, you will only see this in Australia.’

The franchise is known as ‘Burger King’ in every other nation.
