Liam Gallagher ‘has become hooked on frozen margaritas after ordering eight litres to his local pub’

Liam Gallagher has reportedly become hooked on frozen margaritas over lockdown.

The Oasis star, 48, is known for downing beers but he and fiancé Debbie Gwynther have developed a love for the £10-a pop cocktails made of tequila, triple sec and lime juice.

According to The Sun, Liam has been ordering eight litres of frozen margaritas at a time to his local pub in North London and has helped keep the place in business during lockdown with his regular orders.

A source said: ‘Liam and Debbie tried frozen margaritas ages ago and would always have them when they went to the pub.

‘But in lockdown the owners started offering deliveries, so they have been able to call up and get them sent straight over.

‘They aren’t for the faint hearted because they are really strong, but it’s a bit of a surprise that it’s Liam’s drink of choice.’

The drinks are a speciality at The Red Lion & Sun in Highgate where Liam and Debbie regularly ring up for deliveries.

The owners have reportedly made such a nice profit from the musician that they plan on making it into the pub’s trademark drink.

The pub is believed to be the place where Liam first met his daughter Molly Moorish face-to-face in 2018.

MailOnline has contacted a representative for Liam for comment.

It comes after Liam and his brother Noel came close to crossing paths on Saturday.

The embattled Oasis bothers were both attending the Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto.

While Noel, 54, made a public entrance, estranged sibling Liam went under the radar – with fans posting snaps of him to Instagram, blowing his cover.

Liam was spotted in the stands, and took snaps with fans, before slinking out after the match – which saw Chelsea win.

The result proved disappointing for the brothers – both life-long Manchester City fans, growing up supporting the team as children, with their dad before them a huge supporter of the team.

The brothers’ appearance comes after plans for a new Oasis compilation album and accompanying bonus disc of unreleased material have ‘been scrapped’ after feuding Noel and Liam failed to agree on the project’s direction.

The group disbanded in 2009 after a volatile backstage dispute led to guitarist and chief-songwriter Noel announcing he would no longer work with his younger sibling.
