Australia’s richest garbo has snapped up a record-breaking $60million penthouse on top of Sydney’s ANZ building.

Ian Malouf, the man behind multimillion-dollar waste management company Dial A Dump, is the new owner of the four-bedroom luxury apartment on Castlereagh Street in the city’s CBD.

The penthouse dubbed the ‘sky mansion’ boasts a rooftop swimming pool, a private lift and garage, a cigar room and sweeping city views.

With a floor area of 2,400sqm, the penthouse also has three levels with each room fitted with ceiling high windows.

Mr Malouf’s purchase of the apartment has smashed the records for the highest sale of a penthouse in the country.

As well as its resort-style pool, the rooftop also comes with a cabana making it the perfect entertaining area for guests.

Mr Malouf’s new home is also fitted with a gym and its own conference room.

The entrepreneur had sold Dial A Dump to Bingo Industries in 2018 for a whopping $578million before starting his luxury yacht charter business.

Mr Malouf had been residing in his $40million yacht in Sydney’s Harbour with his wife Larissa.

The pair had also recently snapped up another luxury home – a $20million mansion in Palm Beach. 

The ANZ tower penthouse was sold by property developer John Boyd and had featured in the Channel Seven program Between Two Worlds.

The apartment was designed by Richard Francis-Jones and was crowned the world’s finest residence at the International Design and Architecture Awards in 2017. 

Mr Malouf ranked as the 148th richest person in Australia on this year’s Rich List.

He has an estimated net worth of $729million.
