A shopper walking through a supermarket chain in the Philippines is shocked to see Australian Woolworths-brand products on sale in the store, despite being a very long way from home.

A TikTok user named Billy shared images of the mysterious find to his account on Tuesday showing the Aussie fresh food giant’s products on the shelves of a grocer called SM Shopwise in Manila.

‘This isn’t in Australia. Selected Woolies products being sold at SM Shopwise supermarket in Manila,’ he captioned the video.

The items, including chocolate, condiments, spreads and sauces, cover a large area of the mart and are clearly displayed in a Woolworths-branded section.

A Woolworths logo hangs from the ceiling in the aisles, which are all coloured green with the company’s branding.

A sign reading ‘Taste True Australia’ is displayed above the products.

A commenter asked Billy if the prices were more expensive given the import costs, to which he said they were ‘dearer’.

A spokesperson for Woolworths confirmed to Daily Mail Australia the company have been exporting products for over five years, with the Philippines one of the new additions to their program.

‘Woolworths-branded products are popular in overseas markets because Australia has a strong reputation for food safety and quality,’ they said.

‘We supply a wide range of own-brand products to selected distributors and retail partners across over 20 different countries – particularly throughout Asia.

‘Bringing our products to more markets is not just good for customers, but also for the food manufacturers and suppliers we partner with in Australia.’
