A Kyle and Jackie O listener claiming to be the identical twin brother of an NRL star has potentially thrown his sibling’s career into jeopardy.
The anonymous caller rang the show to announce he often attends training sessions for his brother’s team whenever his twin is sick or ‘can’t be f**ked’ turning up.
Host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson was immediately skeptical of the caller’s claims, and said that, if true, the ruse could result in his brother being sacked from the club.

Several of the show’s producers thought the listener was lying as well, but host Kyle Sandilands and senior producers Peter Deppeler and Pedro Cuccovillo Vitola believed the man.
Jackie asked the caller how none of his brother’s teammates had worked out the fill-in twin wasn’t good at football.
‘I play as well but I’m in the lower grade. I haven’t actually played a game [in the NRL] yet but we’re thinking about it,’ the man responded, leaving Jackie stunned.
‘I could potentially throw him under the bus and f**k his career up so I want to stay anonymous,’ he added.

‘You need to give me something more. I don’t know why but I just think you’re making it up,’ Jackie concluded.
The caller conceded the ‘sketchy’ ruse could cause problems for his brother’s career and admitted they were ‘probably going to have to stop doing it.’
‘It’s a bit sketchy, we’re probably going to have to stop doing it.’

There aren’t many identical twins playing in the NRL, with Sydney Roosters stars Brett and Josh Morris being the most well-known.
At one point, Sam Burgess and all three of brothers, including twins Thomas and George, all played for the same club – Russell Crowe’s South Sydney Rabbitohs.
