New mum Mandy Moore debuted her newly-dyed blonde hair as she took to Instagram on Thursday. 

The actress, 37, said she felt it was the ‘right time for a hair change’ as she marked the ‘next chapter’, two months after the birth of her son. 

Mandy switched up her brunette locks for the almond blonde colour and beamed with happiness as she showed off her new hairdo.

Mandy told People Magazine: ‘I’ve been longing for some much needed change. It really felt like now was the perfect time to do something different, with the world seemingly opening back up again. 

‘Normal feels like it’s really right around the corner. With this new chapter of my life, it just felt like the right time for a hair change. The colour feels indicative of how exciting and hopeful people are.’

Mandy enjoys being a ‘chameleon’ when it comes to her personal beauty and style.

Mandy said she loves expressing herself through fashion and hair colours and said she used a box dye from Garnier to create the natural blonde shade she wanted. 

It comes after the Hollywood star made her first red carpet appearance at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday since welcoming her son August, with husband Taylor Goldsmith into the world in February.

Mandy- who wowed in a bright yellow gown – wrote on her Instagram Stories: ‘Mama got dressed up on a Sunday.

‘And thank you @kevinmichaelericon @streicherhair for making me feel like a glam lady for a few hours. Now back home to feed this baby. (sic)’

The This Is Us star returned to work just a month after giving birth, but it only took the beauty a few hours at the MTV Awards to miss her family.

She added: ‘Being out in the world for a brief moment was lovely …. ready to crawl back in my bubble though. Also my boobs are about to explode.’ 

Mandy revealed that she had welcomed her baby boy into the world by sharing a picture of the newborn on Instagram earlier this year.

Alongside the adorable snap, she wrote: ‘Gus is here … Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. 

‘We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T (sic).’
