Alannah told The Herald Sun that she’s downsizing as her son Edward, 19, has moved out.

‘Ed and I are really close, we did everything together. In the morning we’d go op-shopping, and me and my boyfriend, Hugo, we’ve had lovely nights here together,’ Alannah told the publication.

She is eyeing off a cottage in rural Victoria, after the pad goes to auction on May 29.

Alannah added that she first moved into the apartment for a ‘fresh start.’

‘The last house I had was so tied up with my departure from (my former clothing brand) Alannah Hill and this was the first house where I haven’t been associated with Alannah Hill,’ she said.

The pad features stunning hardwood floors, high and elaborate ceilings, and a kitchen complete with a pink bench top.

In fact, the entire space features frequent pops of colour, stunning pieces of art, chandeliers and mirrors.

It also has a sunroom, an English garden and is close to the beach.

Since leaving Alannah Hill in 2013, the Horbart-born designer has since also set up her own brand after disputes with the retail group, Factory X, who manufactured her creations.

Months after launching the label she was diagnosed with a malignant melanoma and had a part of her toe removed.

Her company’s new name is Louise Love. Alannah is also a book author and has written a hardcover title, called The Handbag of Happiness.
