Delta Goodrem and her VERY tall boyfriend Matthew Copely look chic at the airport

Delta Goodrem and her boyfriend Matthew Copley looked on top of the world on Tuesday as they made their way through Sydney airport after the singer’s album release party the night before.

The Aussie songstress, 36, was beaming as she made her way through the terminal in a chic designer ensemble.

The Born To Try star looked like a million bucks in a pair of white wide-legged trousers, a Henley top and a black coat.

On top of the world! Delta Goodrem and her VERY tall boyfriend Matthew Copely looked incredibly chic as they strutted through Sydney airport on Sunday

She accessorised with a pair of black patent leather stilettos and a Bally logo-printed tote bag, which retails for around $1500.

Delta arrived at the airport without her mask before swiftly putting a floral one on as she entered the terminal.

Meanwhile, Delta’s very tall musician boyfriend looked every inch the rocker in a leather biker jacket, black skinny legs jean and black boots.

He also wore a pair of aviator sunglasses in the airport.

Meanwhile, radio hosts Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton had a shocker of an interview with singer Delta on their Nova 919 breakfast show this week.

The pair tried to speak to the Innocent Eyes hitmaker  about her new music but she was frequently distracted during the call.

However, the segment was all in good fun, as Liam had in fact arranged the awkward phone conversation with Delta beforehand to prank Ben.

‘You’re about to listen to the worst interview we’ve ever done,’ Liam said.

‘It was planned that way, though. Ben thought we were speaking to Delta on the phone [but] she was just next door and we were playing some wacky sound effects to confuse the fella,’ he added.

Delta was indeed hiding next door and went along with the prank, adjusting her responses as sound effects played in the background, including a dog barking and drum beats.

At one point, a dog barked in the background and Delta said: ‘So sorry guys! That’s my dog, Max. Stop it, stop it!’

Later, a sound effect of a baby crying was played and Delta covered it up by saying she was having family staying with her at the moment.

As drums were heard, Delta said it was her brother, Trent Goodrem, making the noise and pretended to yell at him to be quiet.

Liam then cut Delta off, with Ben seemingly none the wiser.

‘I think we might call it [a day], Delta,’ he said, hanging up on the superstar.

Afterwards, Liam told a shocked Ben it was all a joke. Fortunately, he took the prank in his stride and wasn’t too bothered.

Delta, meanwhile, is preparing to release her sixth studio album.

The Born to Try star spoke last week about how she stays motivated and why she decided to open up about her secret health battle on her new album.

‘With songwriting, there’s having a shared experience to be able to connect with people,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘There’s a reason you share these vulnerabilities or these stories,’ Delta explained.

‘I think that kind of transparency that’s going on with people sharing is something that connects us even closer.

‘There’s strength and vulnerability, but I think the reason you share it because you don’t know what somebody else is going through and someone else might relate.’

Delta also reflected on her decision to release a song about her secret health battle, which saw her lose the ability to speak.

‘When we were in lockdown it was a really important message to say that you just don’t know what somebody is going through,’ she said.

‘Through music I am able to say how I feel and talk about that about that moment of stillness, but it really was the core of what made that whole record. It was the reset.’

Delta continued: ‘It was the going back to just being barefoot at the piano, playing my song, writing from the heart and being honest in the music.’

Delta’s new album and book, Bridge Over Troubled Dreams, is out now
