It took some time for Lisa Kudrow to help her child understand that she was his mom, and not one of her Friends costars.
The 57-year-old actress revealed that her son Julian, now 23, used to visit her on the set of the hit sitcom, and mistakenly thought Jennifer Aniston was his mother.
‘He really was obsessed with Jen,’ she told Conan host Conan O’Brien, 58, during a remote appearance on Wednesday.

‘He’d fly into her lap. Well, she’s a love bug, and that made sense. And I was always glad for anyone that Julian felt love for and felt from,’ she continued.
All that love may have played with the young boy’s head, as The Comeback star explained an eventual case of mistaken identity.
‘But then at home, she’d be on TV, and he’d go, “Mommy!”… He got a little confused,’ she confessed.
Kudrow gave birth to Julian in 1998, between seasons four and five of the classic television comedy.

Julian is the Romy & Michele’s High School Reunion performer’s only child with longtime husband Michel Stern, whom she wed in 1995.
While her son isn’t a massive fan of the beloved show, he has watched a lot of it to fit in with his own friends.
‘I know he hasn’t seen every episode. I know for a while, in school, people were watching it. And he kind of felt like he had to, so that he can participate in what everyone else was watching,’ she said.
‘And he did really think that everybody else was very funny on the show,’ she jokingly added.

Lisa has kept her son out of the spotlight, but she shared a photo album on Instagram over the weekend to celebrate his 23rd birthday.

The star’s followers were quick to point out Julian’s resemblance to the star.
‘He looks just like you. So cute!’ wrote one fan, while another chimed in, ‘He is your double’.

The Easy A starlet’s pregnancy was written into Friends as her character Phoebe Buffay sported a huge baby bump when she carried her brother Frank’s triplets as a surrogate.
Aniston, 52, commented on the social media upload: ‘Happy Birthday, Juls!!! Feels like yesterday that you arrived.’
Julian is also an actor with some special effects and makeup credits on IMDb.
Kudrow also discussed the upcoming Friends reunion with the late night host, who asked what fans can expect.

‘There’s footage that I’ve never seen before that I was really excited about,’ she admitted.
When questioned about whether or not they reenacted the famous fountain dancing from the show’s opening credits, Lisa said that while they didn’t, the fountain is indeed involved in some way.
Meanwhile, Lisa’s costar Courteney Cox, 56, has admitted the show reunion was ‘so emotional’.
Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she said: ‘It was so unbelievable, so emotional.
‘It’s an unscripted reunion and we got to be on Stage 24 for the first time all of us in, I forget how many years. 15 years? 17 years? It was great. It was really fun. We had a lot of special surprises – and it was fantastic. It really was.’
