It’s war! Today’s Karl Stefanovic reveals what would happen if he had a punch up with Kochie

It’s no secret that Nine’s Today show and Sevens’ Sunrise go head-to-head in the ratings every day. 

But on Thursday, KIIS FM shock jock Kyle Sandilands took things to another level when he brazenly asked Karl Stefanovic what would happen if he was to have a ‘punch up’ with TV rival David ‘Kochie’ Koch, 65. 

Karl 46, jokingly pulled out the ‘street talk’ and quipped: ‘Kochie wouldn’t have a good one in him let’s face it.’

It came after Kyle asked Karl and his Today co-host Allison Langdon, 41, who would win in a ‘punch up’ if they fought Kochie and his Sunrise co-host Natalie Barr, 53. 

‘If you and Allison were to fight Kochie and Nat, who would win in the punch up?’ Kyle asked. 

Allison, who injured her leg recently, jokingly asked: ‘Is my leg better in this scenario?’

Karl said that Allison would take the lot of them, saying with a laugh: ‘Allison wins up against everyone!’

Allison meanwhile, said that she wouldn’t fight Nat, but would happily ‘scrap Karl.’  

‘Nat’s gorgeous, I wouldn’t fight Nat, I’d scrap him [Karl],’ she said with a laugh.

Nat is the new co-host of Sunrise, after taking over the reins from Samantha Armytage after her shock exit earlier this year.  

The 53-year-old insists she wasn’t angling for the job – and in fact, would have been happy to stay in her former co-star’s shadow.

‘Every interview I’ve ever done, people have said, “What’s next?” And I’ve never been able to give a good answer because I loved my job, but people thought I should want something else. I actually didn’t,’ she told Stellar earlier this month.
