A man has been branded ‘disgraceful’ after asking his mate to transfer £2 the next day after buying him a Jägermeister on a night out.
In a screenshot of the text exchange posted on Twitter by a man named Brad, Scott Lansbury, from Northumberland, could be seen messaging his mate asking: ‘Got that coin?’
In response, his pal replied: ‘Just sent it there mate, the money for my Jäger,’ to which Scott replied ‘Wkd x.’
However, a second screenshot, which showed evidence the bank transfer had been made, revealed the drink had cost a mere £2 – and was the likely reason the post quickly went viral.
The tweet, originally posted with the caption ‘disgraceful behaviour this,’ has since garnered over 14,700 likes.

Many of us are a little too frivolous with our bank cards as far as alcohol is concerned – waking up with not only a sore head, but also a damaged bank balance.
But there’s always one in the group who likes to hold back when it comes to getting the rounds in.
And it seems the very relatable situation may have been the very reason social media users had quite lot to say on the matter – but not everyone is in agreement.
‘I wouldn’t ask someone I hated for £2 that they owed me. Never mind a mate,’ wrote one, while a second commented: ‘CANNOT STAND that kind of behaviour.’

A third added: ‘Hate these folk!’ while a fourth commented: ‘F**** £2 lol what’s 2 pound between pals.’
A further noted: ‘lmao there are two types of people in the world.’
Meanwhile, others decided to tag their friends and joked that the scenario reminded them of people they knew.
But elsewhere, others defended Scott’s decision to request the money – and said he had every right to be paid back money what was rightfully his.
‘As disgraceful as it is, it’s still their money. If they ask for it, gotta give it,’ commented one, while a second penned: ‘Too right, money makes the world go round.’
A third added: ‘Those bills got to be paid,’ while another agreed: ‘Money’s money.’
