Michael Clarke previously said the ‘amicable’ decision to separate from wife Kyly Clarke was ‘the best course’ for their daughter Kelsey Lee.
And this was certainly evident on Sunday, when the retired cricketer was pictured helping the five-year-old treat her mother to a thoughtful Mother’s Day breakfast.
The 40-year-old shared a sweet image to his Instagram Stories of Kelsey Lee smiling for the camera, next to a tray containing toast, a cup of tea and a blue flower.

Tagging Kyly in the post, Michael wrote ‘Happy Mother’s Day Mummy’ alongside numerous emojis including a rose, trophy, rainbow, balloon and medal.
Little Kelsey Lee looked cute as a button, dressed in her pyjamas, a fluffy robe and unicorn slippers.
She also appeared to have made a card for her mother, with red paper on the tray.

Michael and Kyly, 39, separated in September 2019, but only revealed their split in a surprise announcement on February 12, 2020.
It is understood there was no third party involved in their shock split.
In an official statement at the time, the former couple said the ‘amicable’ decision to separate was ‘the best course’ for their daughter.

Reports surfaced Michael had begun dating fashion designer Pip Edwards, 41, after his separation with Kyly became public knowledge.
Pip seemingly confirmed their relationship by going ‘Instagram Official’ in July last year, however they have now gone their separate ways.
It’s understood Pip is now dating Bondi restaurateur Cameron Northway.
