Samantha Armytage attends a lunch hosted by The Australian Ballet in Sydney… after admitting she’s not ‘done with TV’

Almost two months after leaving Sunrise, Samantha Armytage stepped out for a lunch hosted by The Australian Ballet in Sydney on Thursday.

In a series of photos posted to Instagram Stories, the 44-year-old former TV host could hardly contain her excitement at being out and about again.

Standing in front of a mirror in one of the dressing rooms at the Sydney Opera House, Samantha couldn’t resist snapping a selfie.

‘I’m not very good at mirror selfies… But I was so excited to be OUT wearing @carlazampatti,’ she captioned the post.

Samanatha said the lunch was ‘so beautifully organised’ and added: ‘With huge thanks to the @australian_ballet for a gorgeous lunch today…’

She also reunited with her former Channel Seven colleague, The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies.

Samantha shared a photo alongside her 54-year-old friend, and commented that she was so excited ‘to see the girls again’.

Last month, Samantha told The Daily Telegraph that she ‘doesn’t think she’s done’ with working on television.

‘I don’t think I am done with TV – I am for now but I may some day get back in, but it has to be the right role and it has to be at the right time,’ she said.

‘I am quite happy not to go at the pace or at the level I was at before, because I don’t think that brought me much happiness.’

She went on to say that she’d been advised by friends to be picky with her next role, as she wasn’t content with the ‘amount of attention’ Sunrise brought her.

Samantha added: ‘I think I am at a really nice point in my life where I can afford to be choosy.’
