AFL: Hawthorn star Tom Mitchell and girlfriend Hannah Davis split

The AFL curse strikes again: Hawks star Tom Mitchell and girlfriend Hannah Davis ‘quietly separate’ and unfollow each other on Instagram after three years together

Yet another AFL glamour couple has called it quits, with Hawks player Tom Mitchell and his girlfriend Hannah Davis quietly splitting after more than three years together.

The pair are believed to have ended their romance several months ago, reports The Herald Sun, and have tellingly unfollowed each other on Instagram.

While Hannah is said to have moved to Byron Bay to become a Pilates instructor, Tom, 27, continues to play for Hawthorn Football Club in Melbourne.

Neither has publicly addressed the split, and the cause of the break-up is unknown.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Tom Mitchell and Hannah Davis for comment.

Hannah had not featured on her ex-boyfriend’s Instagram account – which largely focuses on his AFL career – for some time.

She uploaded a snap of the pair sticking their tongues out for the camera, and captioned it: ‘Another year down.’

Hannah first appeared on Tom’s Instagram account in February 2018, and made her red carpet debut at the Brownlow seven months later, in September.

That was the year Tom won the prestigious Brownlow Medal for ‘best and fairest’ player in the league.

The couple were the talk of the town at the AFL’s night of nights, with Hannah wearing a sequined gown designed by One Day Bridal.

The dress featured long sleeves and its low-cut neckline showed off her décolletage.

At the time, a smitten Tom paid tribute to Hannah after winning the Brownlow Medal.

He said on stage: ‘She’s the real reason I’m standing up here. Hannah’s made sacrifices. She’s there through the highs and lows.’

Hannah later said in an interview: ‘Tom makes me proud every single day.’

Tom is the son of retired AFL star Barry Mitchell, who had an illustrious career playing for the Sydney Swans, Carlton and Collingwood.

The couple’s split follows a string of separations among the AFL community.

The Buckleys, Geelong Cats star Gary Rohan and wife Amie, former North Melbourne star Majak Daw and partner Emily McKay, and Cats champion Jimmy Bartel and wife Nadia are among those who have ended their relationships in recent years.
