Jimmy Bullard, 42, considers getting Botox to soften ‘crevices’ by his eyes

Jimmy Bullard, 42, has confirmed that he is considering getting Botox to lessen the ‘crevices’ by his eyes as he admitted ‘looking good’ is very important to him.

The ex-Premier League ace, also known as The Bulldog, debated getting the cosmetic enhancement or ageing gracefully during an interview on Tuesday, as he confessed he doesn’t like needles.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: ‘I’ve got a little crevice in between my eyes. I’ve got a little bit of a framing dent. I might be getting a filler in that just to chill it out a bit.

‘You can never look untidy!’: Jimmy Bullard, 42, has confirmed that he is considering getting Botox to lessen the ‘crevices’ by his eyes as he admitted ‘looking good’ is very important to him

‘But to be honest, I half looking at it now and I’m all half going, “I think it makes me”. Some frowns make you, don’t they?’

According to Jimmy his desire to look good and dress well stems from his childhood and teachings from his father, Jimmy Senior.

The former Fulham and Hull City midfielder added: ‘I’ve always tried to look as good as I can. I was taught that by my dad — “Be as fit as you can, never look untidy”.

‘The fashion, I’ve always liked it. You’re in front of camera, always try and look good. My image has always been big for me.’

Jimmy branded himself as ‘trim as a butcher’s dog,’ and said he ‘always smells good.’ He added that looking and feeling great makes him perform better on the pitch.

However, the Sky’s Soccer AM presenter admitted his image has changed since his Premier League football days as he now sports a ‘man bun’.

Jimmy enjoyed a long and illustrious career after signing to Wigan Athletic for £275,000 in January 2003.

On 16 May 2006, it was announced that he had signed to Fulham. He subsequently joined Hull City on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Fulham for £5million in January 2009 when both teams were in the Premier League.

Unsure: He continued: 'But to be honest, I half looking at it now and I’m all half going, "I think it makes me". Some frowns make you, don’t they?'

And in 2016, the retired footballer revealed former club Hull ‘changed his life’ by paying him up to an extra £15,000 a week by mistake.

The former midfielder was quoted in British newspapers, recalling that when the time came to sign his contract he found he would be paid £55,000 a week, rather than the £40,000 agreed.

‘I saw on the paperwork it said £50,000 so I’ve passed it under the table to my agent and my agent’s gone, “Yeah, that’s a misprint, sign it”,’ he said.

‘As I signed it I blew it (the ink) dry and then I read under it as well, another £5,000 or £6,000 in appearance (money).

‘I’m celebrating to this day. Thank you Hull City for changing my life. I’m dropping cash everywhere, I’m bleeding cash,’ added the former footballer.

Jimmy made a total of 289 league appearances in a 13-year career that also featured spells with West Ham United, Ipswich Town, Peterborough United and Milton Keynes Dons.

He played 18 league games for Hull, who are top of the Championship and hoping to win promotion back to the Premier League this season, before joining Ipswich in August 2011.
