‘It’s beyond a joke!’ MasterChef viewers slam the cooking show for airing too many advertisements

MasterChef viewers have slammed the cooking show for airing too many ads during its episode on Sunday night.

The program saw former stars Poh Ling Yeow, Callum Hann and Reynold Poernomo return as guest judges as the contestants competed in an elimination challenge.

But many fans were left outraged after the episode featured constant commercial breaks.

‘That was four and a half minutes of ads. That is beyond a joke,’ one person Tweeted.

Another agreed: ‘So at least eight ads this break. Ridiculous. Why on earth are you dragging this episode out @Channel10?

‘Channel 10 enough with the ads please. Do you want us to watch #MasterChefAU or not?’ one person commented.

‘MasterChef is ruining my night of watching ads,’ another joked. ‘This break was 11 ads. Beyond a joke now,’ another said.

‘Another ad break timed with dramatic “this could send me home”. How often is this going to happen?’ one person asked.

‘Is it safe to assume that tomorrow’s recap will cover off the rest of this episode? Too long winded, too many ad breaks. I’ve lost the will to go on,’ another agreed.

During Sunday’s episode of MasterChef, Minoli Desilva became the fourth contestant to be sent home.

The engineering project manager failed to impress the judges with her sesame-crusted steak with daikon, yuzu dressing, crispy enoki mushrooms and pickled radish.

‘I think, for me, the dish just lacked a little bit of clarity,’ noted guest judge, and fan favourite, Callum Hahn.

Minoli ultimately found herself in the bottom four, alongside Conor Curran, Maja Veit and Tommy Pham.
