Victoria Beckham leaves her nine-year-old daughter Harper a sweet letter from the tooth fairy

They’ve always been a close-knit mother-daughter-duo.

And Victoria Beckham was every inch the doting mum when she left her nine-year-old daughter a letter from the tooth fairy on Saturday.

The Spice Girl, 47, told her followers excitedly on Instagram: ‘Someone’s tooth fell out last night!’

Victoria filmed the collection of magical messages, all of which were covered in cute love hearts.

The main card read: ‘Dear Harper, Thank you for your beautiful tooth! Us fairies love you so much!’

Meanwhile, a series of smaller hear-shaped letters reminded Harper of some of her positive qualities.

‘Dear Harper, here are just a few reasons why everyone loves you. Harper is smart. Harper is kind. Harper is funny. Harper is sensitive,’ they said.

Admitting it was her ‘favourite’ response, Victoria shared the comment which read: ‘Dip it gold and wear them on a necklace!’

The sweet post comes after Victoria gave an insight into how her family spent lockdown on Thursday.

Speaking to Evening Standard, the designer revealed unlike most of the nation – she refused to wear loungewear in the house – but did identify with parents struggling with homeschooling.

Discussing how the family coped in the last year, she revealed that she acted as a ‘cheerleader’ for the group and was determined to keep everyone’s spirits high as they focused on spending time together.

Victoria and husband David, 44, spent the first lockdown in the Cotswolds with children Romeo, 17, Cruz, 15 and Harper, nine – while eldest son Brooklyn, 22, spent some time with fiancee Nicola Peltz, 26, in the States.

Speaking about her experience, Victoria revealed that although she wanted to wear something ‘more casual’, she refused to sit around in loungewear.

She explained: ‘At first it was a novelty… I love to dress up, and put makeup on and do my hair. It’s who I am.

‘I don’t just dress up to look a certain way for other people, I do it because it makes me feel good about myself.’

She continued: ‘Obviously I was a little bit more relaxed at home but i still wanted to make an effort. I wasn’t going to automatically put on sweatpants – even if they are very nice Reebok sweatpants!

‘I wasn’t just going to give up and put on an elasticated waistband.’

Emily mused: ‘It seems David doesn’t like you in too many saggy sweatpant looks,’ to which Victoria replied, ‘I don’t know. He likes me to dress casually but every day I was still working.

‘When it started to get difficult and the weather wasn’t so great and the novelty had worn off I’m a bit of a cheerleader for the family.

‘I wanted to wake up and be positive, and I did feel positive, so for me to put on nice clothes and put a bit of makeup on – I’m not saying I was wandering around the house in super high heels – I don’t want to shatter the illusion but I still wanted to make a bit of an effort.’

Revealing how they kept the kids entertained, Victoria said: ‘When lockdown first happened, the schools closed and we said the focus has to be the children.

‘We wanted kids who come out of lockdown happy and free spirited. Yes we have to do schoolwork but it’s a time for the family to be close, to communicate. It’s the most important thing to sit and watch movies and cuddle with the children – and yes have a bottle of wine – that’s ok!

‘But to just spend time together, communicate and talk to the kids, because the little people felt very very nervous and vulnerable during this time. They just don’t know how to vocalise this.’

The mother-of-four also revealed that homeschooling daughter Harper, nine, during lockdown gave her a greater appreciation for teachers.

Speaking about Harper and Cruz’s return to school, she revealed: ‘They were so happy. I mean, our kids love going to school for social friends. They work hard at school.

‘But I’ve never seen my kids so excited to go back to school and it was lovely to see. We forget how much they have missed.

‘I think mine actually appreciate school more. Because they’ve seen actually that without it, life was a bit lonely. And how much do we appreciate teachers now?

‘I appreciate teachers so much more, homeschooling is no joke. I can run a business. I can sit in a board meeting. No problem. Yeah, home-schooling the kids is really, really, really tough.’
