Nick Carter reveals newborn baby is now home ‘safe and sound’ from hospital after ‘minor complications’ following birth

Nick Carter shared an update about his newest child on Monday morning.

The Backstreet Boys member took to his Twitter account to let his followers know that the recent addition to his family was doing well and that they had been allowed to return home.

The 41-year-old singer had previously been in a precarious state regarding the birth of his newest child and told his fans that there were ‘complications’ regarding his offspring’s arrival.

Carter’s Tweet read: ‘Ok everyone, I wanted to let you know that finally, we are home safe and sound. Baby is doing so much better.’

He added: ‘I’m going to share a little picture with you really soon. Thank you again for all your love.’

The singer-songwriter and his wife Lauren had been taking things day by day with their newest child, as their arrival did not go as planned.

On Thursday, the musician tweeted that his newborn was ‘experiencing some minor complications but things are looking a little better after the first night.’

Later that day, Carter wrote that the family would be staying in the hospital a bit longer than expected but that their child’s overall prognosis was good.

The singer met his future wife at a party that was held at his house in 2008.

Prior to becoming acquainted with the YouTube personality, the hitmaker was romantically linked to Paris Hilton and singer Willa Ford.

The musician and his spouse tied the knot in 2014 and went on to welcome a son named Odin, aged five, and a daughter named Saorise, aged one.

During a recent interview with AskMen, Carter spoke about how noticing his Backstreet Boys bandmates’ routines with their respective kids helped him prepare for becoming a father.  

He remarked, ‘I was able to see how they were with their children, taking little tips and little things from them that I’m able to apply to my children, as well.’

The singer also spoke about how much he enjoyed viewing his brood grow older and navigate their respective childhoods.

‘The greatest thing is just to be in their lives, and to be able to see the first steps and first crawls. Those are the rewarding moments,’ he said.

Carter concluded the interview by expressing how the onset of the global pandemic enabled him to spend more time with his wife and children while at the same time making him more aware of the global state of affairs. 

‘Right now, I’m focused on living in the moment with my family. It’s hard for me to think about career and music right now because I believe that society and all the people everywhere around the world, we are all now equal,’ he said.
